Join Ronan McInerney from Metro Trains Melbourne he discusses his 15-year career in the dark arts of user interface design, and the challenges of applying this Human Factors specialisation in complex integration projects that are often dominated by an engineering focus.
The presentation will introduce Ronan’s career journey and the skills he picked up along the way. This will be followed by some motivating case studies highlighting how poorly designed user interfaces led to disaster, as well as the psychology behind safe user interface design. Finally, Ronan will discuss some lessons learned from the Metro Tunnel Project and its implications for Human Factors.
